I was born and brought up in St Ives.

I attended St. Ives Primary School and Penzance Girls’ Grammar School.

After leaving school, I trained as a Primary School Teacher in London, where my main subject was Art. I taught in Hertfordshire and South America before returning to North Cornwall where I brought up my two children.

I’ve always enjoyed painting and teaching art in Primary Schools, while teaching in an Area Special Class in Camelford Primary School, I wrote my dissertation for a Masters’ Degree on ‘Art in the Area Special Class’

On retirement, I returned to St. Ives and joined The Arts Club where I continued painting and exhibiting my work. I also attended another painting class and recently joined a Printing class.
