My artworks seek to reduce landscape, memory and music to their very essence. My works pulse with colour and emotion, shaped by the luminous Cornish light I moved over 20 years ago to St Ives to embrace. The sea is my constant muse – its shifting tides, its mirrored skies, its quiet power. From harbour vessels to glowing shorelines and molten sunsets, my collections breathe with the rhythm of the Atlantic.

 

Yet my work also carries the grit of my northern and City roots: steel, coal, rail, the raw geometry of industry. City skylines and coastal horizons meet in my canvases, creating a tension that feels both tender and electric.

 

I paint from feeling as much as from place. I layer bold colour with sand, salt, rust, cement – materials that hold their own memories – and sometimes thread in fragments of lyric or language to deepen the story. Each piece becomes a moment suspended, textured with time and sensation.

 

My practice is an ever-evolving conversation between landscape, memory and the quiet music of life. My work has travelled widely, finding homes in private and corporate collections worldwide, and I continue to exhibit across the UK.

 

I have exhibited both independently and in collaboration with galleries and agents.

I have recently been longlisted and shortlisted for several awards, including Aesthetica, the Visual Art Open, and the VAA Artist of the Year. I was Artist in Residence at the five‑star Headland Hotel in Cornwall.
