Christine grew up in St Ives and continues to live in the area. She started drawing and painting from an early age and has continued throughout her life. She is largely self-taught.

Christine expresses herself through painting her surroundings, primarily the coastline. She is fascinated by the relationship between land and sea and how it reflects our own lives. She likes to observe, remember and imagine, creating an experience within her work.

She regularly exhibits in Cornwall and further afield. She was shortlisted for the Evening Standard Art Prize 2018 and won the ING Discerning Eye Purchase Prize 2023.
