Barbara Turner Jones
Barbara is a graduate of Exeter College of Art & Design where she completed her formal training gaining a B.A. (Hons) in Fine Art.
She moved to Cornwall in the early 70's with her family and set up a studio in the St Ives Area.
Her work is in collections in Britain, Australia, Europe and the USA
Barbara Turner Jones is a painter of extraordinary clarity and depth. From images, Zen-like in their simplicity, to complex paintings in singing colours – her work continues to inspire and delight.
Barbara has been an artist for as long as she can remember.
After her formal training at Exeter College of Art in the late 60s she moved to Cornwall where she continued to “live the dream”. The sea and moon motif in the second series of “Cornwall Dreaming” are fundamental to her experience of Cornwall from which these images are drawn.
