Oil painter Allan Storer known for his distinctive style of impasto painting has a long association with St.Ives exhibiting for many years in a local art gallery as well as with London galleries and Art Consultancies.
Educated at the Chelsea College of Art and Kings College, Allan’s creative process has underpinned his professional practice in education, psychotherapy and as a practising artist painting large scale commissions for interior design.
One of his most challenging paintings to date is a twenty four feet height by eight feet wide canvas which extends from the ground floor entrance hall to the first floor landing of a large interior art project in an executive apartment of a McAlpine development luxury Show Home in Chelsea, London.
Exhibitions and collections include the home of a Royal household, celebrities, politicians, executive villas and developments in Southern France with large works for the 2014 Grand Prix in Monaco.
Allan is a published artist in the National Collection Public Catalogue Foundation of Paintings sponsored by the BBC., and has exhibited with the Royal Institute of Oil Painters in the Mall Galleries London, museums and public art galleries.
Other artworks have featured in national tournaments in the USA., event logos as far away as Columbia, CD album covers and television series.
Based in St. Ives and London, the artist is a member of the Federation of British Artists, the Hesketh Hubbard Art Society and the St. Ives Art Club.
Allan also provides workshops and is a respected art tutor and lecturer.
