Starring Jerry Lewis.
A classic screwball comedy this month to ease you into the Christmas cheer! Easily enjoyable and very entertaining.
Nerdish and socially awkward professor 'Sherman Klump' creates and drinks a potion that temporarily turns him into the handsome, but obnoxious 'Buddy Love'.
Lewis' is superb in this comic spin on the Jekyll & Hyde story and fantastic playing the polar opposite roles.
Hope you'll come along for a giggly evening in good company and enjoy a mulled wine and mince pie (for a small donation).

He is the founder of a burgeoning song collectors’ movement that inspires a new generation of performers to draw on living source singers rather than books and records. Sam is a 21st century artist, collecting new versions of old songs on his iPhone and laptop, but his repertoire is steeped in folk history and lore.

After the very successful ‘Colours of Cornwall’ exhibition in February, Sharon McSwiney & Alison Dupernex return to the club.
This exciting show will combine the rich colours of copper & brass with silks & wools reflecting the change of season.
Metalwork, jewellery, knitwear jackets, scarfs & hats will be on display. Pieces inspired by the scenery of West Cornwall and fauna & flora.
Both Sharon & Alison will be attending everyday & creating while on site.
Listen out for the tap of a hammer or the whirr of a knitting machine…

Exhibition - Sparks
An exhibition of mixed media artworks and paintings by artists with autism living and creating in Cornwall.
Spectrum ASD provides art workshops for its creative service users, the art created is displayed in this exhibition.
The artists who participate in the workshops create work based upon their experiences and interests.
For the artists, especially those that are non-verbal, it is an effective way to express their thoughts and feeling to those around them.
The work created is rewarding for the artists, it develops their confidence and skills and challenges their imaginations and sometimes this is evident in the art.
For example, a painting can be created and only after you rotate the work on its side does it reveal a new and clearer way to view the work, like Paul’s ‘Tree’ or Phil’s landscapes.
The weekly workshops are run by St Ives Artist and Spectrum Care Support Worker Darren Clarke.

Louise’s work is varied, but her real passion is the Cornish light and it’s impact on the sand and sea. She produces many beautiful images of the beaches most predominately around the Northern Cornish coast, one of her favorite areas. Her preferred time of day for working is the evening time when she can take full advantage what the gorgeous sunsets have to offer. She uses a technique of under exposure to produce images that have rich, vivid and dramatic colour and softness.

Phoenix Singers - Is There Life On Mars?
Is There Life On Mars?
Come along to St Ives Arts Club and find out.
Take part in a two hour workshop / open evening and learn to sing a four part harmony arrangement of David Bowie’s Life on Mars with Phoenix Singers.
We’ll all be looking at the music for the first time on the night so be prepared for a fun evening learning a pop classic together. The workshop is designed to include people who don’t read music. Word sheets as well as a score will be provided.
Phoenix Singers will also perform some songs from their pop classic repertoire. Refreshments provided. At the end of the evening the song will be recorded and sent to you as an MP3 or CD.
It’s all free! All are welcome.

'Daisy and Johnny' deals with theme of falling in love. It looks at the myths and realities in a sometimes light-hearted manner, at others, a brutally realistic way.
It examines the often widely held beliefs, knowledge and experiences (though rarely spoken of honestly) of what it is to ‘fall in love’, ‘be in love’, and the reasons why it seems, on the whole, not to last.

September Festival - American Idol – The Story of Helen Keller
The GOT 2 ACT drama group was formed in the summer of 2014. Its members are young sensory impaired people from the Cornwall. The performance today tells the story of Deafblind activist Helen Keller.
The group have toured with this production in Ireland, Eastern Europe and recently in Western Australia.
Those who have witnessed the group in action have compared their inspirational talents to that of Helen Keller herself.

Rose Kimberley
Rose has performed as a singer and songwriter since age 16. After completing a degree in Dance at Roehampton University in 2006, Rose moved from Cornwall to Surrey to pursue a career in music.
Rose performs regularly for some of the UK's top function bands including Motown Supreme, Platinum, 29 Fingers, Chuck Chandler and the Go Go Five among others.
Known for her warm tone and strong emotional delivery, Rose has a unique quality to her voice.

Exhibition - Steve Payter and Marie Keeling
Photographer/Image Designer Steve Payter and artist, Marie Keeling, are joining forces to hold an exhibition.
Although Steve’s show will predominantly feature his interpretation of the beauty of the Penwith Peninsula, there are also a few surprises including a strikingly graphic representation of Bristol’s Cabot Circus shot at night and printed onto a hand prepared-aluminium sheet.
Inspiration for his images stems from his eye for tone and form as found within the contours of the land, sea and city views that interest him – particularly the rocks, shores, coves and moors of Cornwall. His finely-honed editing skills bring out the details of both shadows and highlights lending a luminance to the images, and his creative interpretation leads to varying degrees of realism intended to make the viewer stop and think. He has harnessed the same locational inspiration for his latest range of enamelled jewellery, which he will also be showing.
Marie Keeling takes ideas for her work from industrial, mechanical or architectural sources. She loves the sculptural shapes of engines, boilers and other machinery, from the well maintained and polished to the rusty, crumbling and corroded. She will be showing work from her portfolio of paintings on canvas, collagraph prints, 3D works, cylinders and earrings and brooches. She usually enjoys colour, but at the moment is working in black and white with just a touch of gold leaf or red.

Film - No Impact Man
This documentary tells the story of author Colin Beavan, who went completely "green," giving up virtually all of the comforts of modern living -- electricity, gas-powered transportation, shipped food and public waste disposal -- in a drastic effort to curb his environmental impact. The cameras capture the toll this well-intentioned, year-long project takes on Beavan's wife and baby daughter, as well as the ways it brings this family closer together.

Book Making Workshop
Hardback sketchbooks - with Nina Fenner.
Make your own personalised sketchbook, or a wonderful gift.
In this workshop you will make a hardback book from scratch, beginning with folding and stitching the pages then gluing and re-inforcing the spine followed by making a hard cover decorated with materials of your choice. In this full day workshop we will also have time to develop more techniques such as adding decorative corners, page markers, pen holders or buttons/closures.
The techniques learnt will enable you to make good quality sketchbooks of any size in a wide variety of materials.You will go home with a finished book at the end of the day.
All materials are supplied but you are welcome to bring your own materials that you might like to incorporate into your book at the workshop or would like advice in using at some time in the future.

Nick Harper
Son of the legendary UK singer-songwriter Roy Harper, Nick was born in London and raised in Wiltshire. He played the guitar from the age of 10 and was surrounded by the likes of Keith Moon, Jimmy Page, Robert Plant and Dave Gilmour as he grew up.
2016 promises to be an exciting, celebratory year with a lengthy UK tour planned to support the third and final vinyl 'retrospective' album, with one box to unite them all.

A Love Story - by Mike Ezra.
A play with just two characters on stage for an hour and a half with no other support than a hotel bed represents something of a challenge for any theatrical piece. Add in a love affair and you have something of a controversial and edgy venture for an amateur production. Adams Apple with its adult themes is bound to prick a few consciences.
Adam and Lucy work for a national company with branches around the UK. They meet at their works conference and enter into a relationship which for both of them at first is just a casual fling. However they meet again the following year and the relationship develops into an annual episode, blossoming along the way and threatening to encroach on their other lives.
Fate intervenes when Lucy has to give up her job (and her annual conference) to reluctantly have a family but the romance is rekindled when she returns to work several years later. However, as time goes by it seems that fate always conspires against them making a life together, but maybe, just maybe, love will find a way.

Exhibition - Colours of Cornwall
Capturing the light in textiles and metalwork.

The idea for the ‘Colours of Cornwall’ exhibition evolved due to Sharon & Alison’s love of Cornwall, like many artists & makers! Sharon lives and works in St Ives while Alison is a regular visitor to the area.
Taking the Cornish landscape as their inspiration visiting areas of coastline discovering colours & textures which then encourage new colour combinations; the sparkle of granite, the vibrant turquoise sea & the beautiful lichen. The dramatic skies & seas, sandy bays & weathered rocks provide photographs, sketches & colour swatches collected during coastal explorations to collate into sketch books to inspire.
This is the first time Sharon & Alison have shown together, the contrast between softness & flexibility of yarn combined with the rigidity of metal creates an exciting visual display.
